Botanische Tuin Kerkrade

Botanische Tuin Kerkrade

Kerkrade Botanical Garden is one of 27 official botanical gardens in the Netherlands and the only one in Limburg!

The collection is rich and varied and consists largely of plants and trees from the temperate regions of the world. The tree collection can definitely be called special. The small greenhouse houses drought plants from South Africa and Madagascar. The Madagascar collection is unique in the Netherlands.

The genesis, the mining history, the input of designer John Bergmans and the current state of the garden contribute to a high appreciation by visitors. The garden is equally interesting for everyone, whether laymen, enthusiasts or experts.

The entrance fee to the garden is €5.50 per person (from 16 years of age). Children up to 16 years accompanied by an adult have free access to the garden. Maximum four children per adult. There is no separate winter rate.

Student rate: € 2.75. On presentation of a valid student card/pass/college card.
Combi package: € 15. Gives access, guided tour, coffee and flan from six people to fifteen people. Register in advance!

The terrace, winter conservatory and teahouse are accessible free of charge. The coffee with Limburg flan will certainly taste like more! If you also want to visit the garden during your visit, you pay an entrance fee.
