The Bosquet of Rolduc Abbey is a park-like hillside forest surrounding this centuries-old abbey. There are several beautiful ponds in the forest. The name of this forest dates back to the time of the French occupation. Today, the forest is also called the “Devil's Forest” because of its steep slopes.

Rolduc Abbey is the largest and oldest preserved abbey complex in the Netherlands. Its history goes back more than 900 years. Rolduc Abbey is in the Top 100 of Dutch monuments.

The Top 100 Dutch monuments is a ranking of national monuments in the Netherlands, established in 1990 by the National Service for Cultural Heritage.

Today Rolduc is used as a hotel and conference center. Monastery brasserie De Kanunnik is the place to go for a bite and a drink. In the summer months, the terrace on the courtyard square is open every afternoon. The church and crypt are only accessible during guided tours.
