Are you ready to truly experience Parkstad? Let yourself be surprised by the Parkstadroute, a 35-kilometre experience route between Simpelveld and Schinnen, specially designed for hikers and cyclists. Here you discover exactly where Parkstad gets its name from: a unique region where city and nature blend seamlessly together.

The Parkstadroute winds past some of the most beautiful spots in the region. Think hidden natural gems, historic castles, Roman excavations and stories from its rich mining past. Like a green phoenix, the region rose again and blossomed into a tourist destination of real significance. Let yourself be carried along through this unique landscape and discover the power of the green thread that connects Parkstad. Along the way, you can enjoy rest stops in idyllic locations.

The recognizable white dotted line effortlessly shows you the way and guides you past various sights in Parkstad. Thanks to the convenient return cycling route (Terugfietsroute), you cycle back to your starting point via junctions. Or divide the route into two loops using the shortcut route (Doorsteekroute).
