Grensroute Parkstad Limburg

The Parkstad region has the calming and green environment of a park as well as the hustle and bustle of the city. There is something there to enjoy for everyone, from eventful cities to authentic villages and vast nature reserves. It is not without reason, that the World Travel & Tourism Council awarded this area of extremes Best Travel Destination in the World. The region carries this title with pride.

This beautiful Border Route (Grensroute) shows you nature at its best: the meandering river Worm, where beavers and kingfishers have their habitat, the lovely Anstel Valley around Erenstein Castle and – between Kerkrade and the German city of Aachen – Pferdelandpark’s rolling green pastures. Along the way you will come across the best cafés with outdoor seating, where you are welcome to take a break.
