Graaf Saffenberg route KR10 Kerkrade

Graaf Saffenberg route KR10 Kerkrade

Kerkrade is a city with a long history, which you can see in the medieval Rolduc Abbey. Behind this atmospheric abbey you will find the beautiful mountain forest with its beautiful ponds where ducks swim and celandine and wood anemones add colour to the forest. If you then head north, you will cross the border and find the beautiful Wormdal area, where kingfishers and beavers make their home by the winding Worm stream. Also take a look at the nine-hundred-year-old Baalsbrugger mill. Back in Rolduc, where you can also park your car, you can enjoy your coffee in style at Brasserie De Kanunnik. This beautiful route is not signposted, but the route description can be downloaded.

Great! You will pass Rolduc Abbey on the way. Are you curious about the stories or would you like to take a look inside? Take a look at the 360-degree tour. The tour is also accessible by scanning the QR code on the abbey's façade sign.
