On this cycle route you will explore a large part of the former Eastern Mining Region and a new world will open up for you. Traces of the mining past are well hidden! Discover known and unknown places that all have a link with the massive coal industry, that once determined both the landscape and life in this region. This is a route of approximately 57 kilometres, through the municipalities of Simpelveld, Kerkrade, Landgraaf and Heerlen, joined together by cycle junctions. The route can also be divided into 4 or more smaller loops.
